AR Chess Academy Classical: Day 2 Recap

The second day of the AR Chess Academy Classical Tournament wrapped up with Round 3. With seven rounds in total, players are now beginning to separate themselves in the standings.

Leaders Start To Emerge

Heading into Round 4, only two players remain on a perfect score of 3/3.

Adeem Al-Dosari secured her third win with an impressive performance in the all-woman board 1 matchup, defeating Maitha Alotaibi and continuing her strong run in the tournament. Tunar Garayev also picked up a key win to maintain his clean score. These two leaders will now face off in Round 4, which promises to be one of the most exciting matchups of the event so far.

Chasing Pack

Just behind the leaders, nine players are sitting on 2/3, all still well within striking distance as the tournament continues. Among them is Shahan Abu Sayeed, the only player currently on 2.5/3. As both a budding talent and academy member, Shahan is proving to be a serious contender in this field.
